Top 5 Food and Drink Apps on Android in Malta for Q2 2024

The second quarter of 2024 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top five food and drink apps on the Android platform in Malta. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps experienced varying levels of downloads and active users, providing a snapshot of user engagement in the region.

Bolt Food: Delivery & Takeaway showed a steady increase in weekly downloads. Starting the quarter with around 600 downloads per week, the app peaked at approximately 968 downloads in the week of June 3. The app maintained a consistent download rate, ending the quarter with 934 downloads in the last week of June.

Wolt Delivery: Food and more had a fluctuating download trend throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads started at 664 and saw a low of 462 in mid-May. However, the app rebounded, reaching a high of 685 downloads in the first week of June and closing the quarter with 625 downloads.

McDonald's experienced moderate growth in weekly downloads. Initially, the app had around 120 downloads per week, which increased to 189 in late April. Despite a slight dip in mid-May, the app recovered and ended the quarter with 145 downloads in the final week of June.

Burger King® Malta saw notable fluctuations in its download numbers. The app started Q2 with 86 downloads and saw a significant spike to 246 downloads in the week of May 20. However, it experienced a decline towards the end of the quarter, finishing with 83 downloads in the last week of June.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery had relatively stable but lower download numbers compared to the other apps. The app began the quarter with 72 downloads and saw minor fluctuations, ending with 50 downloads in the last week of June.
